Why should I choose an apple cider vinegar based ear cleaner?

Why is apple cider vinegar so great? Well, it really has a multitude of benefits, but for now, let’s just talk about the topical uses. The main reason we at Project Sudz love and use apple cider vinegar (ACV) in our shampoos is to help itchy pets.

Apple cider vinegar has natural antifungal and antimicrobial properties, which help to relieve hot spots and yeast infections. Project Sudz uses organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar combined with a vinegar “mother,” a substance that helps to harness the beneficial and healthy bacteria. I know you’re probably thinking, “Bacteria?! Ugh, that sounds like something I don’t want on my skin?” Well, our skin and that of our pets (and guts) are teeming with bacteria, a microbial community or normal flora. It’s like a community of good bacteria working together to keep us safe and healthy. Apple cider vinegar helps to preserve the good bacteria and prevent the bad bacteria, which reduces itching and infections.

How does it work? What is the best way to use the ear cleaner?

Soak a cotton pad or ball in the ear cleaner, wipe the inside of the ear to remove dirt and earwax buildup. Never insert anything into the ear canal or use on torn or damaged eardrums. Be careful with sores in the ear.
