Oils and fats for a healthy dog

Shine bright like a fish-oil

Oils and fats are more than just a tasty addition to your dog’s food – they’re essential for good health. In this collection you’ll find natural, carefully selected oils and fats that contribute to a supple coat, healthy skin, a strong immune system and a well-functioning digestive system. Think salmon oil, algae oil, sheep fat, hemp seed oil and combinations of omega 3, 6 and 9. Perfect as a daily boost from within.

Why are oils and fats so important for dogs?

Dogs need healthy fatty acids, just like we do. They are the building blocks of cells, support the nervous system, keep the body in balance and help with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E and K. In addition, they have a direct influence on the condition of the skin and coat, and play a role in inflammatory processes, brain function and even behavior.

A deficiency of essential fatty acids can lead to a dull coat, dry skin, dandruff, itching, reduced resistance or even digestive problems. Enough reason to give your dog a quality oil daily.

Which oils and fats can you find in this collection?

We only choose products that we stand behind 100%. Each type of oil has its own unique effect:

  • Salmon oil – rich in omega 3, anti-inflammatory, good for skin, coat, brain and joints.
  • Algal oil – plant-based alternative to fish oil, sustainable and full of DHA & EPA.
  • Sheep fat – supports intestinal flora, skin barrier and nutrient absorption; often with additional additives such as garlic or salmon.
  • Hemp seed oil – contains omega 3 and 6 in the ideal ratio, helps with inflammation and skin problems.
  • Coconut oil – rich in lauric acid, supports the skin and coat from the outside and inside.

Some products combine multiple oils for a balanced fatty acid composition – ideal for overall support.

How do you use oils and fats on your dog?

Most oils can be easily added to food – wet food or kibble. Some fat products come in the form of bonbons or snacks, which makes them extra convenient and tasty. Start with the recommended dosage on the packaging and build up slowly. Pro tip: start with half the dose for a sensitive dog to allow the digestion to adjust.

Which dogs are these products suitable for?

Virtually any dog can benefit from a good oil or fat source, but they are especially valuable for:

  • Dogs with a dull coat or skin problems
  • Dogs with allergies or itching
  • Growing puppies (brain & skin)
  • Seniors (anti-inflammatory & joint support)
  • Active dogs (energy + recovery)
  • Dogs with digestive problems

When in doubt: choose an oil with a broad profile such as salmon or algae oil, or send us a message – we're happy to help

Safety & quality first

We consciously choose pure, cold-pressed oils from reliable brands – free from artificial additives, preservatives or fillers. Always pay attention to the expiration date of fats and oils and store them in a cool, dark place. Sheep fat bonbons are best stored dry and sealed. Oils are supplementary animal feed and not medication. Are you unsure whether your dog would benefit from extra fatty acids? Then consult your vet – especially for dogs with a medical condition or special diet.
